Tours
The interior of the barn is closed to the public for restoration so there will be no scheduled guided tours that would include the interior of the barn until the renovations are completed. However, visitors are welcome to come to the site on their own, view the exterior of the barn, and learn about its history from the three informational kiosks on site
Events
There will be events scheduled from time to time at the barn that may include a guided tour of the exterior. These will be posted here when appropriate.
There is also The Lawrence Underground Railroad Driving Tour available through the Freedom’s Frontier National Heritage Area’s website that can be accessed anywhere by computer or by smartphone by clicking here.
The Grover Barn is one of the 10 sites on the tour that are important to the Underground Railroad history of Lawrence, Kansas.
